Fun & Free with Acrylics
Acrylics. All abilities
Acrylics are a hugely versatile, very forgiving and ultimately very fun medium!
We will dive deep into the various characteristics of acrylics, and how to use there specific properties to our advantage. As well as how to bypass many of the common pitfalls and struggles of the medium.
All this brought together to look at creating vibrant and exciting paintings, and have fun doing it!
This will be equally good day for people looking to try acrylics for the first as it will experienced acrylic painters looking to inject a new leash of life into their work
Amongst all the usual principles we will look at:
The variety of ways we can use acrylics
Different ways to mix and apply paint
The so called "pros & cons"
Pitfalls of the medium and how to avoid them (there are a couple of big mistakes many people make with this medium)
How build a painting using this medium
Working with different paint consistencies from thin glazes to thick impasto
Overall the versatility of acrylic, why they are so forgiving..
...how this can really help us to free up...
...and real focus on having fun with this great medium!!
