One day Workshops

Friday 17th May 2019

Colourful, Expressive, Loose & Splashy

Birds, Animals & People

Watercolour & Acrylics

All abilities

Please Note:

This workshop will run in Snitterfield, just outside Stratford-On-Avon.

Not the usual Alcester Venue.

The previous two watercolour workshops have been so popular I've decided to book in the extra one in May.

We will be looking at creating loose and brushy paintings of birds, animals, people, people with animals, market scene snippets etc. All with no, or very minimal background.

Lovely bold brushstrokes, lots of wet into wet washes and lots of colour is the mission on this day.

All mixed with just the right amount of detail in a few select places

This approach works equally well with watercolour, acrylics and even inks.

Rather than aiming to complete just one painting in a day, we will be looking to keep things relatively fresh and quick, with hopefully at least 2 or 3 paintings throughout the day, as well as a couple of smaller warmup exercises that can often result in some really great finished results.

Friendly but productive and focused atmosphere.

Plenty of one on one tuition. We can really focus in on the individual needs of each student, and what they are hoping to achieve.

I encourage people to paint whatever subject they like, all though will advise on most suitable for particular workshops.  Bring your own photos or I can provide a wide selection of choices.

There is at least one demonstration to illustrate the main points of the workshop in action.

Bring your own lunch. Drinks & biscuits provided.
