One day Workshops

Tuesday 28th April 2020
Charcoal Birds & Animals
Charcoal - all materials provided (welcome to bring own of course!)
All abilities
I am sure you will go away from this day with a love for this medium. Warning: It's highly addictive!!

I tentatively ran tis course last year for the first time and everyone loved it. I think for many it opened up their eyes to the possibilities with charcoal but also how easy it can be to get really fantastic results!

A loose and free medium that is very forgiving and a lot of fun!

Without the "distraction" of colour, and the simplicity of charcoal, we can really focus light and shadow and on creating movement, gesture and character, as well as a variety of approaches, materials and techniques to tackle this subject!

This is a great medium for getting very instant and satisfying results, whatever your experience level.

We will look at everything:
-
Materials and how to use them
-
How to construct andy bird of animals
-
How to build a charcoal piece quickly and expressively
-
How to build in detail
-
How to use the rubber as a drawing tool
-
How to create feeling of life, movement, character and gesture

The above, and much more...

£70 per person
£10 extra for materials if needed
